His solution would probably work for the U.S. Italy is a different monster

since it has one of the oldest populations, a denser population, and highest % of comorbidities in the world. IMO it probably makes sense for Italy and some other countries to take a different approach, but the herd immunity approach would likely be effective in the U.S.
