I've been watching a web-based symposium from UPenn Medical today on Covid19
A lot of it has dived into the fundamental biochemistry of the virus, which I won't bore you all with. However, one researcher just shared data from her lab where they tested the inhibitory effects of chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, and resmedivir. All of them were shown to potently inhibit Covid19 in in vitro assays.

There is mounting evidence from more and more hospitals and medical centers throughout the world that these treatments work. I know the sample size of these individual studies have been small, but the reproducibility from one lab to the lab is extremely encouraging. I am optimistic that these treatments will continue to prove largely successful in treating non-moribund patients, and improve the chances of survival in moribund patients.
