keep following the news daily to find out if I could still operate or else my employees could call me out. State, county, city, all had different things going daily. A lot of this has been fluid. Now there are a ton of different things for business to figure out from the government stimulus. Everyday employees are asking about quarantine rules? I was around so and so and they were around so and so who tested positive. Etc...
This thing controls everything right now. We've had shipment delays, trying to track packages. Everything is connected. How long will this last? How long can I stay viable? You read up on the treatments, what's working? What's not? This may give one a sense of how long they may be shut down. It's a daily grind right now. Can't really ignore it.
I just think it's a little naive to wonder why people need to spend so much time on this and listen to or watch the state and national press conferences, and then also keep tabs on the city and county.
I get it. If you have a work from home job and your salary is still good, you can tune it out a lot easier, but to wonder why some people pay attention to all of it is naive.
