Downplaying the economic devastation as "Oh just a few people have lost jobs, this is a far cry from economy collapsing" and yet calling out people who say "Only a few people have lost their lives, this is a far cry from a real pandemic" is really disconcerting.
I have lost a family member to Covid-19, I have also known a vast majority of people who are on the verge of losing businesses, who have lost jobs or who have taken a substantial pay cut that will affect their ability to provide for their families for months and maybe years to come.
We have both a health crisis and an economic crisis and to downplay one over the other is disingenuous.
