To be fair, "collapse" is vague and probably your straw man.
I'm not even sure what you advocate FOR. You just seem to oppose anything that seems like a rational approach to getting people back to work.
The longer this goes the worse it will be. If current measures are still in place by end of this year, the economy will effectively collapse. If they're still in place at end of summer, things will be very bad. I suspect by then you will begin to understand.

It has already collapsed for a lot of people. If you are lucky enough to work in IT (I am) it hasn't collapsed yet
