I tend to agree with you

It's definitely not a hemolytic disease, because we aren't seeing anemia in these patients. But for your point about being large enough to bind all heme groups, it would probably only need to bind 1 group and cause a conformational shift so the other 3 sites don't work. Not saying it does, but it could.
