I’m skeptical even of that. Like I said, there’s hundreds of millions of
hemoglobin proteins per red blood cell. Even if the virus produced enough protein to bind 1 million hemoglobins per red blood cell, an extraordinarily generous estimate, that would still affect less than 1% of all hemoglobins in your blood. It simply isn’t plausible enough to me that a less than 1% drop in oxygen uptake in your body is causing all the other symptoms we’re seeing.
