El-Erian is interesting, but wrong about half the time. Prior to CV, he sounded
very more like Dr Doom (Nouriel Roubini) than anyone else, the previous couple of years. Glad i didn't go with him then.
OTOH, Mohamed has been spot on so far in 2020.
Of course El-Erian is a much cooler personality, with verve and panache, unlike the socially awkward Roubini.
You make a good case for inflation next year, but El-Erian wouldn't move me.
I've believed since 2009 that we would not see late 1970s level inflation until most everyone on the planet believes that inflation is dead and that it will never return again. We're getting close.
So inflation is my baseline case for 2021.
