I should have stated it differently. Bowl trips are thought of as vacation for

Most players of most teams. Ask players post their careers about their bowl trips and it is completely different than a normal football week. It is filled with all kinds of fun activities.

Of Course they take the practice time and game time seriously but outside of that time they are very different experience.
