I have true story.
When my wife and I got married we were flat broke. A serious of unfortunate circumstances had left us with a few hundred dollars to our name and her unemployed.

We went to vegas on our honeymoon only because it was covered by generous wedding gifts. We decided we would each have a $5 gambling fun money budget since there was little else we could afford. Looking back on it it was crazy how methodical we were about $5 allocations but after some further discussion while walking through the bellagio we both agreed that it was not a good idea to gamble even $10 at the time. No more than a minute later I stepped on a wad of cash on the casino floor. I looked around saw nobody near us and picked it up. Looked around again and pocketed the cash. When we got back to our hotel I counted $280 cash. While not $1 million that cash nearly doubled my net worth and was a true godsend. We used that money to purchase a cheap mattress and bedframe from walmart.com (thats right we didnt even have a bed). Moral of the story is, if I find money laying around its a blessing and I am hanging on to it barring a scenario where I can obviously identify the owner.
