I’m okay with dogs. I own one. But I have trouble with ignorant dog owners.

I think kicking a strange dog or stray dog (any dog off a leash who strays from their owners side is a stray to me) is fine. Especially if they are being aggressive.

Running/jogging with dogs is a bit annoying to do with a leash but don’t run with a dog if you can’t handle leashing it. Rules for life.
