Agreed. But I think under Pope players like Seljaas, Knell & Nixon
will be offered as preferred walkons — with a serious chance of gaining a schollie as upperclassmen. (Really, Rose's walkons have been too low grade; you can't afford to have Rudys in Bball — there's just not enough roster spots. You give those spots to either (1) kids that probably have decent D1 talent to them — but probably don't have it ready to go in years 1-2, or to (2) high end athletes that lack skill.)
