Why would that be his high mark? Those weren't even Pope's recruits
And he's shown in year 1 he's a much, much more committed recruiter than Rose ever was. He's not settling on "what's left" LDS recruits like Rose often did.
Give Pope a few more years to recruit, & I think you'll see why dYrtbYkerYder didn't at all think this year's team should be regarded as the high mark of a Pope-led BYU program. But it WAS a very promising start to a bright future, I think.
