The police just couldn’t handle him asserting his rights. The one officer that called the City Attorney knew for a fact that he didn’t have cause to detain the man and that the man was within his rights to decline to identify himself, but the officer still sat there and did nothing as the other officers escalated and cuffed him while barking various orders and threats about obstruction and trespassing.
