Here's mine:

Driving from Provo to Moab when I was in college.

We had just merged onto I-70, traveling east when we saw a bunch of police and ambulance lights up ahead. As we got closer, we slowed to about 15 miles under the speed limit (admittedly, to rubberneck) and saw a gnarly crash. It didn't look good with an overturned car off the road.

About 30 seconds later I see UHP in the rearview mirror lighting me up. I know I wasn't speeding because I was kinda shaken after seeing the crash - and I always use cruise control.

I pull over and the officer came marching up to my window looking like he wanted to strangle me.

He started yelling that I was speeding past the accident site and was really giving it to me about the dangers of speeding etc...

I was totally dumbfounded and assured him I wasn't speeding. But I apologized because he was so fired up.

He snatched my license and insurance out of my hand and marched back to his car. He was back there a LONG time and eventually another UHP car pulled in behind him. They talked for what seemed like 10 more minutes. Finally, the other officer came up and apologized for the first guy and returned my license. He said that the first officer knew the victim of the car crash and was really torn up about it.

I said, 'No problem.' and we went on our way.

But I couldn't help thinking about how unstable the first officer was. It was actually scary to think about what he might have done in his fit of rage. Being a cop has to be one of the toughest jobs out there.
