are sophomores if they served a mission, or are one year behind if they took a medical redshirt. It's a big reason why as critical of Kalani as I've been, I haven't written him off 100% yet because I think it takes 5-7 years for a BYU head football coach to get all his guys through the system. With so many personnel needs in the sport of football and senior experience mattering so much in college, I try to give Kalani whatever benefit of the doubt I can, even if it's little at this point.

Thumbs up though for calling the defensive system a 3-8 last year though.
