that's far better than anything else you can do. Get them shooting at a young age and teach them gun safety.

Get a safe but trigger locks also work.

If over 10 (maybe 8 depending on the kid), take them target shooting, teach them

1 Tell kids you will let them see the gun(s) any time they ask.

Keep ammo in a safe place away from the gun. Don’t let your guard down.
