I believe 1968 was one of the darkest and most turbulent years of the entire 20th century. Several friends who are also
historians agree with me, and some of them lived through it. 1968 was far worse than what we're at right now. Ironically, 1968 was also in the midst of a global pandemic that was deadlier than COVID-19, it was the Hong Kong Flu...and I'm not being racist or facetious, it is known in the history books as the Hong Kong Flu. It killed 1 to 4 million people globally, when the world population was far less than now.
