I think the only thing that wasn’t clear to me was I wouldn’t get the credit all at once. I only got about 60% of mine this year, read is rolled over to 2020 (2021 filing).

You can have a tax liability and still get a refund. Have you done your 2019

Yes, it was my child tax credits that covered it. You're correct!

The solar tax credit is a non-refundable tax credit ....

This is right. It's not refundable, meaning the credit applied in a single year
