Larry Brown won a national championship by hiring Danny Manning's father as
assistant caoch. Now, maybe Ed Manning was a good coach, but at the time, it didn't seem like he was that much of a coach. But, it got Danny to Kansas, where he won a NC.
When Larry Brown was hired to coach the Spurs, he took Ed with him, so maybe he was a good coach.
