It means the coaches are willing to sit down & "have the conversation" w/ only

one kid on the roster this year.

Considering how much success Pope had in his first season, I think that's very remarkable & speaks highly of his character.

Most of us should be able to think of two guys on roster now (at least) that that conversation would be expected at any other BYU-level college involving a second-year coach coming off a very good 1st season.
