Honestly, with the calibers available in AR-15s, I see no need for an AR-10

I really do love my 6.5 Grendel AR. Ammo is as expensive as 308, but if you're looking at AR-10s, it's a wash anyway. AR-15 parts are more standardized than AR-10 parts, too, so more modification options are available.
