remember the video of a pick up game in Provo before he even suited up for BYU where he SKYED through the lane and threw one down with Jabari Parker on the court. Jabari’s reaction said it all. The kid has game.

Thought he’d make a big splash on the national stage with a deep run in the tournament, freaking sucks for him but it was still the right move to play the last couple weeks of the season. I don’t see him starting the season playing timid. He’s hungry.

If Gavin takes that step forward this year like many of us think he will, and if we win a couple games in the tournament, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him getting drafted.


He’s still got a longgg way to go, but I’m really high on the kid. Pope is the reason he makes it to the next level, and succeeds there imo
