...the cream always rises to the top and that guy usually emerges when there's a void at the top that needs to be filled. Not every player wants to be the guy at the end of the game with the ball in hand and the game on the line but we have guys on the team that were "that guy" in high school and have it in them now that there's a void in that role on the team. Guys will emerge and fill it, they always do.
Barcello hit a huge 3 down the stretch in the Gonzaga game that stopped a Gonzaga run and gave momentum to us. He hit a big 3 in another game earlier in the year to win a game for us (forget off the top of my head which game). I'm willing to bet we run a lot of specific sets in our offense to get an interior PNR going between BA and Matt Haarms that ends with a lob over the shoulder to Haarms who's rolling to the basket for the alley oop for the game winner or could also lead to a kick out to an open Wyatt Lowell or Trevin Knell in the corner if the defense collapses in.
Those guys will emerge and we'll see them rise to the top.
