And your generator only makes chlorine when it’s needed so on days where it’s not burning off it adjusts for that.
The filter running is addressed more with upgrading to a variable pump over a set pump, the energy savings I saw with that $500 upgrade was over $200 a month drop in power bill during the summer months and $100 a month in the winter. Paid for itself in less than 6 months
