I can definitely see what you are saying as far as nostalgia.
A big part of why I go is for the memories and the nostalgia of what I would go on with my family growing up and now my current family. But, I'm not sure I agree that it's going away.

When Walt passed, there were about 29 attractions (Mark Twain's River Boat, Columbia Ship, Mine Train, Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Tree House, Tiki Room, Monorail, Carrousel of Progress, Mr. Lincoln, Matterhorn, Casey Junior's Train, Canal Boats, Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Mr. Toad's, Tea Cups, Dumbo, It's a Small World, Journey to Inner Space, Submarine Journey, Autopia, Disneyland Railroad, King Arthur Carrousel, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Rocket Jets) including Pirates of the Caribbean, People Mover, and Haunted Mansion which opened after his death but he was heavily involved in their design. You could even count Main Street as an attraction and that hasn't changed too much since his death in 1966.

Now, in 2020, of those attractions, you can see that a good portion of them still exist. In fact, of those 29 attractions that I listed that were there when he passed, 24 are still in operation and few of those have undergone drastic changes. I'd add that BTMR, Space Mountain, Indian Jones, Star Tours are all very Classic and Nostalgic Disney.

Walt was very big on change. He has said, "The park means a lot to me in that it's something that will never be finished. Something that I can keep developing, keep plussing and adding to—it's alive. It will be a live, breathing thing that will need changes." I think if he walked into the park today, overall, I think he'd be happy with what they've done and probably a little surprised by some of the attractions that are still around.
