Most trucks quote optimal tow packages, 4wd, crew cab, and rear axle ratio can quickly turn those ratings south.
For example the hitch on my 2500HD is rated for 15k towing on the bumper and 1500 on the hitch, the literature for my truck says the same thing. But if you look at my package and axle ratio, my rating is really 9400# towing and 1500# on the hitch.
I tow a roughly 8k (I need to weigh it) "1/2 ton trailer" with an 800# tongue weight and my truck rocks it without a weight distribution hitch. I would not want to tow that same weight with a half ton.
My buddy has a similar trailer and went on 1-trip with his 4 year old 1500 Dodge Ram max-tow...never again. He has a power wagon now.
My contractor neighbor with an F150 Ecoboost kept it for 3 years before finally going to Ford F350s.
Your truck has the power to tow it, but it most likely won't be a fun experience.
