They said our brake pads are down to 3mm and should be replaced. My wife said they quoted $707.76. I'm assuming that was to replace all for brake pads. Then they said if rotors need to be replaced it would be another $585. So nearly $1300 for a brake job requiring new rotors. That seems astronomical. For curiosity sake I priced pads and rotos for all four wheels: Economy level $138, premium most expensive set $380.

I'm interested to see the actual quote, but looks like its time for me to install new brakes and rotors if needed. I'd much rather pay $138 than $1300.
