The numbers were already fairly low (you showed 0.9 out of 100,000), there would likely be much lower death rates for healthy college athletes that do not have pre-existing conditions nor compromised immune systems. I am not sure you could refute that healthy athletes that are 18-22 year olds are in a much spot and the risk is very low. Even if double the flu (I am not saying COVID is less lethal than the flu), please double the number of healthy college athletes who have died of the flu in the past 20 years (name them)....are there a lot?

As for the padded numbers. I am referring to anyone that has died that had tested positive for COVID has counted as a death due to COVID. They actually tried to count my grandfather as one. He recently died in of colon cancer. They hospital attempted to show the death as COVID as he tested positive for COVID despite the fact he contracted it at the hospital that he was admitted to due to cancer complications, which caused his death not COVID (he was already terminal prior to COVID).

Again, you are also counting all deaths not those in football playing age. As you can see below the ages that account for most deaths. Do you know many 60+ year olds who will play college football?



If you are over 60+, maybe don't go to the game. If you have a pre-existing condition, don't go to the game. Worst case quarantine the players and play in an empty stadium, gain TV money. Having football revenues are vital to university sports, losing all revenues is disastrous. COVID is real and scary, but wear a mask, be smart, stay home if you have health issues and do what we can to stop it.....don't kill programs, jobs, ruin college opportunities.
