My point is that you're not going to get something
drastically different from a sibling. If your parents are half and half, I might get 45% of one and 55% of the other and my sister might get vice versa. Since we're pulling from the same pool, it's highly unlikely that we'd get something wildly different. If 10% of our parents' ancestors are from some weird place, we're still going to get ~10% of those genes, give or take a bit.
