My 7 year old wanted to catch lizards so we went up the alpine sliding rock
a few weeks ago. Didn’t see a single lizard but we did see 5 rattlesnakes within 5 minutes so we called it a day and headed home.

Went up to Paul Bunyon’s Wood Pile with my wife. She walked right next to a rattlesnake.

She was pretty shaken up. Scared the crap out of her.

No, you did the right thing. Unless threatened, it a crime to kill rattlesnakes

Several years ago at a family reunion my nephew nearly stepped on one. It was way too close to where we were camping

I know how I’d deal with a rattlesnake if I was in a backhoe, and that ain’t it.

Catching and moving was far more dangerous than leaving it be.

My brother has been catching and moving them for 30 years. I wouldn't have done it, but he knows what he's doing

Great pic. Stay away from the shady side of bushes, irrigation pipes, etc

Don't kill them. They're doing good things with the venom. Pretty cool stuff.

You walked through the snake’s house and your family wants you to kill the snake?

These were my thoughts as well.
