much about the Lavell years, but this seemed to be a very Bronco-esque line of thinking. For better or worse, Bronco can instill culture and the culture was football/athletics was 5th priority. Bronco always made it a point that the mission of BYU football was bigger than just games and success on the field and he seemed to relish that about BYU. So my question is, is this line of thinking always been how BYU ran things, or is this something that Bronco instilled so much into the fabric of BYU that it is now the culture?
