My father (73), parents in law, grandmother in law, & virtually every aging person I know feels the same way. They say:
“I’ve already accepted risk as part of my life and have lived through worse than this, I’d rather live my life and see my kids, friends, and grandkids, than cower in fear and live as though I was dead.” This has been pretty universal with almost every older person I’ve talked to.
