Because they are both respiratory illnesses?
You need to go back to medical school then...
They are from completely different viruses (SARS vs. Influenza). They have different infection times, They have different contagious periods/time frames, They spread differently, They have a different health risk (the flu doesn't cause Blood clots in the lungs, heart, brain or appendages)
