Netflix is a pile of refuse. The answer to your question is probably awareness.
Many people don’t go searching for the grossest shows on Netflix to see how gross it can get.
Another obvious answer is the young ages involved. Other shows likely have this to some degree, so this also goes back to awareness. Which I think is a good thing.
