Because no other labs have had time to reproduce the results Quidel reports?
As someone who works in research, we’re trained not to trust the results of a single paper, even if it is peer-reviewed, which this one is not.
There’s been a lot of bad papers published in peer-reviewed journals because everyone is so desperate for information on Covid. Good science takes time and is thorough.
Even if everything Quidel claims this test to be turns out to be true, it would take months to really prove that. But they’re just going to skip over all that. What happened to good science and every life matters?
