Who are these other companies producing antigen-based testing?
How long have they been in production and circulation? If antigen-based daily testing has been available for a while, why does this article published 3 days ago tour that this technology is two months ahead of schedule? If these tests have been available for a while, why are the PAC12 and BIG10 only now reconsidering playing sports?

Also, just because an antigen is produced by one company against coronavirus may be effective, does not mean an antigen produced by another company will also be equally effective. To assume such shows your naïveté regarding the production of such large bio-molecules.

Furthermore, this assumption that the risk of infection will be reduced by close to or at 100% is based on computer modeling as stated in the article. Computer modeling should be taken with multiple grains of salt, especially considering how inaccurate they were at predicting the number of deaths and when the waves of infections would hit. There’s a lot of assumptions that are required to be built into computer models that almost never completely hold up. Hence why the article you linked keeps using words like “should” or “theoretically.”
