So I just turned 50 and, notwithstanding the fact that I've now lived for

over half a century, I'm still extremely puzzled by the following observation:

there seems to be a not insignificant percentage of the population who genuinely seem to enjoy attending or participating in meetings.

I'm in a recurring work teleconference right now with a few people who meet this description. Every time, I'm like:
