Quidel antigen test
The antigen tests aren't that new and they're not nearly as sensitive as the PCR tests. They also have a higher likelihood of a false positive than the PCR tests (lower specificity). These point of care machines are not the answer. They are really a problem. Anyone with any experience with point of care testing knows that they are frequently a problem. It muddies the water so much that the value of the all of the testing is thrown into question. This is exactly what is happening now.
