Do a simple arpeggio. So for your C chord, don't just play an octave (C and C),
play the low C of the octave with your pinky, a G natural (part of a C chord/scale) with your index, and the high C of the octave with your thumb.
Go up and down continuously; low C, G, high C, G, low C, G high C etc.

Question for piano players. I'm learning piano chords. I don't read notes.

If you're going to play that way, it makes more sense to do chords with your left, and notes (melody) with your right

Awesome thanks. Yeah I play and sing at the same time. More fun that way.
