I think social media/blogs/blogs are a big part
You can monetize popularity, and getting clicks and views is what makes you money, not the outcomes you produce. It leads to really shallow advice (quantity of posts makes money rather than deeply researched stuff) and all the adulation gets to the person’s head.
The arrogant veneer of influencer/life coaches really bugs me (haha if you can’t tell).
