The Rockies finished the season winning 14 of 15 in order to sneak in to the postseason with a wild card tie breaker game against the Padres. They win that game in 13 innings on a CLEAR safe slide by Matt Holliday, then sweep the Phillies in the NLDS and the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. At that point they had won 21 of their last 22 games, and were on a 10-game winning streak.
Then they got to sit around and do nothing for 8 days before the World Series started, and got swept by the stupid Red Sox.
The high was Elway's first Super Bowl in '97.
