We don't do a ton of hills, and I've made sure it's got good tires - but my kids have driven it to school all winter long without ever using the 4wd. One because it was broken at the time, and the other because she wouldn't know how to put it in 4wd if she wanted to.

Where is your street on the snow plow's priority? If it's a street that doesn't get plowed early and often, the steep hill may leave you pretty frustrated some days and leaving your truck at the bottom of the hill at times. If your street tends to get plowed early, you may never notice you have rwd only.
