Lack of national awards. Post detmer we had a lot of good QBs
But none of them were davey O’Brien winners, none of them were really in the Heisman conversation, none of them were first team all Americans. They were great QBs, but in terms of the national recognition they couldn’t touch the QBs from the 80’s- early 90’s.
Although maybe Sark was an first team all American. I don’t remember.
