Regardless of the year, the committee is not known for what they should do. Look how long they held Baylor last year. It would be interesting to see what BYU could do against a P5 team this year but I don't think they will get a spot based off of what should get while 22 P5 teams have yet to play.
BYU is fun right now but once the full season is back along with MWC etc, there just won't be that much buzz. BYU hype always disappears later in the year.
