When I was younger Poltergeist freaked me out. But the movie that freaked me out most recently was Hereditary.
For most of the movie I was intrigued but didn't find it scary as much as disturbing. Then the last, maybe, half hour to 45 minutes the scary/ freaky part kicked into high gear. One of my favorite horror movies now.
