True story: my son had 6 offers to play baseball out of high school (3 were full rides). Most offers were juco, but also had a D-II offer and one D-1 offer. He told all of the coaches he was going on a mission his senior year. All the coaches told him to contact them when he was close to finishing his mission. He recently contacted all of these same coaches via email now that he has 6 months left on his mission as well as other coaches who recruited him in high school but didn’t offer. Three of the coaches who previously offered him never responded to him! Two of the coaches responded and gave him offers again. One coach responded but said no offer now. He accepted the best of the two offers. Crazy that three of the coaches never responded to him when they gave him full scholarship offers 18 months ago.
