Regular season stats are very close for the two players (they rank 1 and 2 among starting pitchers for career ERA+), but Pedro was a much better pitcher in the postseason than Kershaw and that absolutely has to matter. I'm very happy for Kershaw that he got the post-season monkey off his back this year, but I think he would need one or two more big post-season performances to completely shake the label of not being great in the post season.
