He was great, but from overlapping era, I put Ryan, then Maddux, then Johnson
for entire career.
Pedro’s peak and plateau in terms of quality were better than any of that group but his career was shorten with steeper ramps up and down. If he’d played 4 or 5 more years, the separation would be starker.
