The B12 can offer significantly more money and national exposure to Utah, Arizona and ASU than the P12 can. And adding a western/non Texas-based wing to the conference may be enough for Nebraska to come back, knowing that Texas will have their position reduced proportionately.

Nebraska misses their Texas recruiting base. Arizona and ASU would miss some CA recruiting but gain a foothold in Texas.
